Roman Reigns is currently ruling on the top of WWE and there haven’t been any concrete pebble in his path so far that can derail him. Reigns is inching closer to nearly 800 days as the World Champion in the company which is a mammoth and even seems unrealistic in modern wrestling. We have seen legends like Bob Backlund and Bruno Sammartino hold the top title in the company for years before and Roman is just recreating that stuff in today’s wrestling which is honestly very monumental to say the least.
Although, we must not fool ourselves and mince ourselves from the fact that this isn’t 1980s anymore and everything is evolving every passing second in this universe and so as the work ethics of the wrestling industry. Today’s fans don’t like that old school methodical stuff anymore as they often crave for spotfest during matches nowadays so very unlikely back in the day when the match pace used to be slow and textbook style. You must have an entertainment flavour in your gimmick so as to succeed in modern wrestling apart from just being a great wrestler.
Roman Reigns certainly have all the skills required to be the next megastar of wrestling industry and he’s not thousands of miles away from being called as potentially the greatest superstar of the past decade or so. Due to his utterly packed schedule and over deliverance at times, The Tribal Chief decided to slowly transition into a lighter schedule and become a part-timer who would just not work every single week and so he signed a special contract with WWE after Wrestlemania 38 which allowed him to work fewer dates and a much relaxed fixture moving forward.
Although, it was not the best decision to put both the world titles over Roman when he was about to go part-time as it would obviously effect the status of a world champion, no matter how great his/her run might have been.

The Head of the Table appeared on Today’s Show yesterday (what an irony though) and talked various topics including his upcoming showdown against Brock Lesnar at Summerslam and the appeal behind his current part-time schedule in WWE to which he revealed that giving family importance was the one thing that drove him towards taking that step.
As we all know, in a rage to entertain ourselves weekly these superstars stay away from their families and beloved ones for a long time and that often affects their personal lives. Roman added that his current reduced dates with the company has enabled him to attend his kids more and that has pretty much strengthened their relationships too.
“When you have that many kids, you really have to have a schedule and just try to get everything in line and you’re just kind of treating it like a business because there’s just so many of them and you have to try to delegate and give them all as much attention as possible. So it’s been great, you know, my schedule shifted around a little bit so I have a lot more time at home now and I can feel that relationship strengthening and those bonds are getting better and better so it’s a very blessed situation.”
