Roman Reigns reveals how his trash talking as a football player has helped him revolutionize WWE
Roman Reigns has developed a style of trash-talking his opponents during his matches ever since he returned with his heel persona in 2020.

Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns has come a long way in WWE in terms of his character. The most notable improvement was in his mic skills. Even during the matches, the Tribal Chief doesn’t miss out on the opportunity to trash-talk his opponents. It exemplifies the excellence of his heel persona.
Speaking on ESPN’s First Take show, Roman explained where this habit came from. He claimed that during the time he played in American football’s major league, the NFL, players would chirp in between games. As many may know, Roman Reigns kicked off his career playing football, representing teams such as the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars.
In addition to that, the Undisputed Champion said, “To me, that is part of me changing the business, showing different sides and shades of this business.” Certainly, Roman berating his rivals during matches brings out an element of uniqueness and trepidation. The Tribal Chief has been doing this throughout his run in his heel persona.
Roman Reigns has mastered the art of trash talk and getting under the skin of his opponents. Whether it be replying to fans booing him or his challengers mocking him, he always seems to have the appropriate response to each situation. A clip of him mocking YouTubers during his Crown Jewel bout against Logan Paul also went viral.
Roman Reigns and Jey Uso will come face-to-face before SummerSlam

Roman Reigns will face a legitimate threat in the form of Jey Uso at SummerSlam in Detroit. Jey was the one who pinned the Tribal Chief after 3.5 years and ended his dominant streak. Therefore, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is in danger of his historic reign collapsing at the hands of his cousin.
Moreover, he has put his position as the “Tribal Chief” on the line in a Tribal Combat match. Jey Uso defeated Roman Reigns at Money In The Bank, putting him in a vulnerable state. Evidently, the former tag champion earned his right to challenge Roman for his championship.
The feud has been three years in the making. In recent episodes of SmackDown, things have escalated in the buildup to the match. Last week, Roman Reigns, along with Solo Sikoa, stood tall after attacking his challenger. The final showdown before SummerSlam between both men will take place on this Friday’s edition, and it promises to deliver.
