Like his career, WWE superstar Roman Reigns‘ life was also full of ups and downs. However, the lowest point in his life came when he was diagnosed with leukemia and had to leave the one thing he loved the most, wrestling. Although he returned to WWE a few years ago, Reigns made a major revelation about his leukemia recovery in his biography.
Recently, A&E released several biographies of WWE superstars that focused on their personal and on-screen lives. Roman Reigns‘ biography aired on March 31 as part of the WWE Legends series. The Tribal Chief revealed that he was fortunate enough to catch the leukemia in its early stages and is still taking medication to this day.
The 38-year-old superstar returned to WWE after a break, and defeated Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 35. Reign’s career took a huge turn when he aligned himself with Paul Heyman, the latter completely changed his character by turning him into a major heel. Since then, he has been dominating the entire division and having one of the best runs of his career. Not only fans, but many superstars consider him as one of the greatest superstars of all time.
For leukemia, if you caught it in an early stage like I did, you're able to take a medication, a very important medication, that I am still on to this day.Roman Reigns via his documentary
Reigns will defend his title against The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes in the main event of Night 2 of WrestleMania. But first, a mega tag team match will take place in the main event of night 1, as Reigns and The Rock will battle Rhodes and Seth Rollins. If the duo of Rhodes and Rollins wins, his title match against Reigns will be Bloodline-free. However, if they lose, it will become a Bloodline Rules match, where anything goes.
Jey Uso went against gimmick and shared Roman Reigns’ poster on social media
Despite being a rival with The Tribal Chief on-screen, ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso acknowledged the former on his Instagram story. He shared the poster of Reign’s documentary on his Instagram story, which completely works against his gimmick.
Jey Uso left The Bloodline after he was betrayed by his brother Jimmy Uso and suffered a loss against Reigns at SummerSlam. Although he did break all the ties with the faction, it looks like he still hasn’t forgotten the memories he made with his cousins over the years. Jimmy and Jey both get emotional while talking about Reigns and say he has helped them a lot in their lives.
Putting aside an emotional connection, Jey will battle Jimmy in a grudge match at the Show of Shows. Both brothers expressed their desire to have a match against each other at WrestleMania in several interviews. It will be interesting to see whether Main Event Jey Uso finally thrashes his brother or Jimmy manages to come away with a victory.
