The Smackdown Women’s Championship has already been won by Ronda Rousey, but the key question for her is whether she will continue to be a heel or a babyface on Smackdown. Her persona is a heel version, but she frequently receives cheers, thus the big dilemma arises.
Ronda Rousey has been a dominant bad a** up until this point and has received a lot of applause, but it appears that after winning the title, her character will drastically shift and she will start acting more like a heel, taunting the crowd and refusing to take on challenges from the babyfaces.
People believe that this reign of Ronda Rousey will be different from the prior one and that it will be the best work she has ever done because they do not want to see Rousey as a babyface and instead want a Ronda Rousey who demonstrates that she is a dominant heel from the UFC who can dominate anyone.
Ronda Rousey is not the only one getting the change as of now
Ronda is not the only character undergoing a makeover; the Brawling Brutes’ Sheamus, Butch, and Ridge Holland will all be transformed into babyfaces going forward, and they will all be presented better so they receive more applause as the week goes on.
There will be a little bit more fighting between the Brawling Brutes and the Imperium, and it appears that Sheamus will end Gunther’s run as Intercontinental Champion because of the enormous amount of support the WWE Universe is giving him.
“Although it has been obvious for some time this was the direction she was going in, we are told that WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey is now considered a heel internally. We are also told that WWE has heard the voice of the fans and that going forward, Sheamus, Ridge Holland, and Butch are 100% officially babyfaces.”
