“I’m like a smoke and mirrors b***h”: Ronda Rousey reflects on her Wrestlemania 38 match
Ronda Rousey
Ronda Rousey is one of the most dominant Superstars on the current WWE roster. She is currently involved in a feud for the Smackdown Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair. The rivalry kicked off when The Baddest Woman on the Planet made her return to the company and went on to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
The UFC Hall of Famer announced that she will be going after The Queen for the title. This kicked off one of the best feuds of 2022. Initially, this led to a Tag Team feud. While Rousey had Naomi by her side, Sonya Deville stood by with the Smackdown Women’s Championship match.
The two teams collided at Elimination Chamber, in Saudi Arabia – and Ronda Rousey picked up the win for her team. But this was just the beginning – the second match in this feud took place at the Grandest Stage of Them All, Wrestlemania. While Rousey did manage to make her opponent tap out, Charlotte Flair still walked away with the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
But one has to consider the fact that Rousey comes from the world of Mixed Martial Arts – and is still a newbie to the squared circle. Hence, she revealed that she primarily depends upon her opponent to guide her through a match. Ronda Rousey had appeared on the Wives of Wrestling podcast, where she revealed the same.
“This past Mania, I was like I don’t have this down, at all. We were about to go out there and I’m like, uh, I don’t know all this match yet. But all the parts where I wasn’t sure what was next was a part where I could get a queue or something from somebody else. I am very much dependent on who else I am in there with to make the match itself and to guide me when I am out there. I’m like a smoke and mirrors b***h,” mentioned the Baddest Woman on the Planet.
Ronda Rousey will be in action at Wrestlemania Backlash
After the controversial end to the Smackdown Women’s Championship match at Wrestlemania 38, the feud was far from over. Ronda Rousey challenged Charlotte Flair for a rematch at Wrestlemania Backlash. But this time the stakes are higher – with the match scheduled to be an I Quit match.
But this isn’t all. Before they head to the PPV – they will be involved in an I Quit Beat The Clock challenge on the upcoming episode of Smackdown. The entire episode has been shot already and seemingly; the Baddest Woman on the Planet will be emerging victorious in the challenge after defeating Shotzi.
