“We don’t want people to think we’re copying”; Ronda Rousey reveals the rejected pitch she made for Extreme Rules
Ronda Rousey
Ronda Rousey will enter the holy battlegrounds this Saturday night when she faces Liv Morgan for the Smackdown Women’s Championship in an Extreme Rules match. The clash has been a long-term coming for Rousey as she controversially lost her Championship match at Summerslam this year due to referee’s misjudgment on the pinfall count.
The Baddest Woman on the Planet lost her calm and kept assaulting Liv Morgan as part of her internal frustrations which later turned into the match referee as she executed an armbar over the ref until other officials came to the rescue. The crowd at the Nissan Stadium wanted that turn for Ronda Rousey and they popped huge when she displayed her ruthless side.
As part of the repercussions, Rousey got suspended and was imposed of a heavy fine but she cleared all her dues and invaded Smackdown on it’s 1200th episode. Adam Pearce had no choice but to get her arrested by the cops and they left the arena with a handcuffed Ronda Rousey.
Finally after her suspension got lifted, she attacked Pearce locking him into that devastating armbar after being as “Single biggest b***h”. Rousey then won a Fatal-5-way Elimination match few weeks later to earn the right to challenge for the Smackdown Women’s Championship again. The match was made an “Extreme Rules” affair thereafter.
Ronda Rousey wanted to use LEGO blocks in her match
Recently speaking on her YouTube Channel, the former UFC Champion Ronda Rousey disclosed her idea of using LEGO blocks during her scheduled forthcoming match at Extreme Rules but due to some specific reason, WWE turned down her idea.
Since we know that AEW have previously used LEGOs in their Arcade Anarchy match so due to avoid any kind of copyright infringement and fan backlash, Rousey’s pitch got denied. We have seen the woke Social Media generation and their habit of criticizing about everything so considering this point, the rejection might shut the mouths of those so-called fans but not sure whether it was a right call overall.
