Ronda Rousey pursued a career in WWE after concluding a historic journey being a MMA fighter. She debuted for WWE at the conclusion of Royal Rumble in 2018 confronting Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Asuka pointing out at Wrestlemania sign before leaving. Rumours about her transition to professional wrestling were already swirling around in the air and they eventually came out true. She received one of the grandest debut matches in company’s history by any debuting superstar as The Baddest Woman on the Planet teamed up with The Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle to take on the power couple of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
At the marquee event, Ronda showcased her wrestling profanities in the most incredible fashion possible also mixing her MMA background into her style to make it see even more deadly. The mixed Tag-Team match was an instant hit and got even better the performances of everyone involved. During the ending moments, Ronda Rousey locked up Stephanie McMahon into the armbar that caused an immediate tapout by McMahon to hand Rousey and Angle the victory in what got later termes as one of the greatest mixed Tag-matches in WWE history.
Later that year, Rousey captured her first ever Raw Women’s Title when she defeated Alexa Bliss at Summerslam. The Bella Twins entered the program when Rousey was toiling with The Riott Squad and they saved the day for the Raw Women’s Champion on September 17, 2018 edition of Monday Night Raw. At Super Showdown in Melbourne, Rousey and The Bella Twins beat The Riott Squad in a 6 women Tag-Team match. As you know these alliances don’t last forever in WWE and both Nikki & Brie finally turned their back on Rousey during October 8 Raw launching a 2 on 1 ambush.
They collided for the Raw Women’s Championship at the first ever all women’s pay-per-view where the Rowdy one successful retained her gold putting an end to Bella’s underhanded tactics. During an interview with TMZ Sports, Ronda Rousey was asked about that betrayed and she didn’t minced her words to answer that question. She said until now (then), she was trying to make more and more friends around there and be nice to everyone but what The Bella Twins did to her was just not done calling them out as “A bunch of Untrustworthy Bit*ches”. She further talked about WWE Evolution event being historic feat for WWE and their women wishing nothing but great success for the pay-per-view.
Ronda Rousey’s current suspension will be lifted on this week’s Smackdown
For those who doesn’t want to get their viewing experience spoiled for this Friday Night’s WWE Smackdown, please don’t read ahead. Talking about Ronda, she was arrested on Smackdown two weeks ago in Montreal due to her violent and ignorant behaviour. However, this week she will have her suspension lifted by Adam Pearce. The official will then provoke Rousey calling her out as Bi*ch only to get destroyed by Ronda Rousey herself.
