The current SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey is enjoying her current run as the top female heel in the company. The Baddest Woman on The Planet defeated Liv Morgan at Extreme Rules this past month to reclaim the title which Morgan won from her by cashing in her Money In The Bank contract.
Since then Rousey has defended the title on multiple occasions with the recent being held at the latest edition of SmackDown. Last Friday Rousey issued an open challenge on SmackDown inviting anyone on the roster to challenge her for her title. Surprisingly the challenge was answered by Emma, who made a return to the company after a hiatus of 5 years with WWE.
Though she put in a great fight but eventually failed to win the title after Ronda Rousey raked her eye to win the match. However, the two then engaged another interesting exchange on Twitter after the match. Emma tweeted a video which showed Ronda dancing in the ring and the moves were quite similar to that of the recently returned star who used to do it in her initial days in the company.
Emma Tweeted- “Nice to see @RondaRousey is a big Emma fan… Unfortunately she’s a worse dancer than me“. Emma said that Rousey was her big fan but an awful dancer and that is why she was not able to portray her moves. Well, Ronda Rousey is one of the most outspoken superstars in the company and was quick to hit back at her.
Taking a dig at her return Rousey quickly pointed out that if Emma wants to focus on dance moves rather than wrestling she should join Dancing With The Stars which is a celebrity dance reality show. Tweeting the reply Ronda Rousey wrote- “Well then maybe you’d have better luck at @officialdwts than @wwe ??♀️ #hugefan”
Emma Returned To Answer Ronda Rousey’s Open Challenge after a Span of 5 Years

Emma had been released from the company on 29 October 2017, and she made her return exactly 5 years later and that too directly at an opportunity to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship from the clutches of The Baddest Woman on the Planet Ronda Rousey. But even after a brave effort the Australian star fell short by a margin.
Though she lost the match but the returning star has indeed kept her spirits high as in a backstage interview Emma said that she was feeling absolutely ecstatic upon her return. She also said that she waited for 5 years to make sure her name was never forgotten in the company again.
The former NXT Superstar also hinted to continue her pursuit at the SmackDown Women’s Championship and said that now she knows that what she would have to do to become a champion this, reflecting that this fight with Rousey helped Emma to take notes so that she can remain in the race to win SmackDown Women’s Championship.
