UFC President Once Revealed the Real Reason Behind Ronda Rousey’s Embarrassing Loss to Holly Holm

Dana White reveals the real reason behind Ronda Rousey defeat

Ronda Rousey made a seamless transition from the UFC to WWE in 2018. But before that, she dominated the bantamweight division from 2012 to 2016. She even held the UFC Women’s Bantamweight title for three consecutive years.

Rousey’s domination inside the octagon made everyone a great admirer of her. After all, winning battles in under a minute was becoming a norm no matter who she faced. Although, one day, the ‘Baddest Woman on the Planet’ found her kryptonite. In 2015, Ronda lost the title to Holly Holm after the latter knocked her out in an unexpected turn of events.

UFC President Dana White appeared on TSN radio a few years ago. During the appearance, he revealed Ronda Rousey was dealing with several family issues ahead of her title match against Holm. These issues stressed her out, leading to a less focused Ronda inside the octagon.

Dana White even suggested a future rematch between the two, but it never happened. White said, “She had a lot of personal things going on, too, with her family. I don’t know. She’s gone into every fight and beat — Cat Zingano is one of the best fighters in the world. She beat her in 14 seconds. I don’t know. Rousey probably will get another chance to beat Holm and reclaim her title. Holm said shortly after beating Rousey that the former champ “absolutely” deserves a rematch, while White recently vowed a rematch ‘will happen.'”

Ronda Rousey is the current SmackDown Women’s Champion and is on a path of domination. However, there is a challenger who is confident of pushing Rousey to her limit, and it is none other than the latest challenger to Ronda’s title, Shotzi Blackheart.

Since everything has been going well lately, Blackheart’s initial push will promote her credibility to the fullest extent possible. Currently a heel, Ronda Rousey is accompanied by Shayna Baszler, and there is highly possibility of the two of them overwhelming Shotzi.

Shotzi winning the title would be extremely unexpected, but it is still possible given Ronda Rousey’s recent lack of activity and the fact that Triple H is in charge of the organization and is capable of doing things no one can fathom. Let’s hold off till the match because it will be an interesting outcome. Who knows? Shayna might turn heel on her friend?
