“I’m telling you, he shouldn’t lose that one either”- Ex-WWE writer insists that Roman Reigns should retain his title at Clash of the Castle

Roman Reigns leaving Summerslam victorious

Roman Reigns retained his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship this past Saturday night in a hellacious Last Man Standing match against Brock Lesnar. The match featured some of the most craziest spots one could even think of witnessing during a pro-wrestling match. Brock Lesnar made his grand entrance on his gigantic tractor which was looking mammoth throughout the whole scene and he savagely jumped on Roman Reigns to start off their bout.

The ending moments of their match saw the ring displaced from its usual position which obviously was a Brock Lesnar thing and despite multiple opponents trying to tackle him, the Beast didn’t gave up until his last breath. Theory also tried to cash-in but got F-5ed by Lesnar and henceforth out of the equation. Reigns and the company finally buried Brock under the pile of barricade and steep steps to ensure that time around Lesnar stays down for that 10 count.

The match was immensely praised among the WWE Universe as a whole and some even termed this contest as the best match between their long-storied history. The war went for exactly 23 minutes, more than double the time they went against at Wrestlemania this year that concluded in less than 10 minutes and which was a major complaint from the fans about their Mania clash.

With Brock Lesnar seemingly done from Roman Reigns, we need to look to the future also. The Head of the Table will now defend his gold against The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre next month in September at the big United Kingdom show Clash at the Castle which will emanate from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Interestingly, the ticket sales for the event is already been in high demand and the stadium has sold over 60,000 tickets for the mega WWE event.

Many fans are of the belief that the historic run of The Tribal Chief as the Undisputed Universal Champion will finally meet an end against McIntyre given the fact that Drew will be fighting in his home-country and WWE had plans for him to hold a World Title in front of the live audience from a very long time.

Ex-WWE writer Vince Russo recently discussed the same thing on this week’s Sportskeeda’s Wrestling Legion of Raw and he said that Roman Reigns should not drop those titles in Cardiff to McIntyre as the Scottish Warrior is still don’t have momentum by his side since he’s lost a significant number of matches recently.

“With the next challenge being in Wales, in the hometown, I’m telling you, he shouldn’t lose that one either. I am sorry, that is not going to make Drew McIntyre. It’s not going to make Drew McIntyre by beating Reigns, because of what they’ve already done with him, which is not Drew McIntyre’s fault. If up until this point Drew McIntyre is undefeated, that’s a different story. We’ve seen Drew McIntyre lose plenty of matches. Keep it going.”
