Ryback was said to be the “Next big thing” in WWE, He was one of the prime figures during 2012-2015 in WWE. Ryback headlined many live events in WWE, most of them involving his pursuits for the WWE Championship. The WWE Universe were impressed with his display of strength and power in the ring, he has been regarded as one of the finest power base wrestler of all time. While some were of the opinion that his one-dimensional Character, poor mic skills and limited wrestling moves were the reason for his failure in WWE.

Ryback made his WWE Debut in 2010 as a part of the villainous stable “The Nexus”, He then went on chase the WWE Championship in 2013 by feuding with John Cena and got to face Cena two times at live events for the WWE championship, once at extreme rules and the other at WWE Payback, He lost both to Cena and their feud came to an end. Since then the “Silverback” went on to become the intercontinental champion, the only championship he won in WWE and was released by WWE in 2016.

Ryback had said that leaving WWE was one of the best decision of his life

Ryback is known for his criticism of WWE. He has criticized WWE for suitable reasons. Recently the former WWE superstar posted a tweet on twitter, which said that he is glad that he didn’t sign any settlement and NDA with WWE and can’t wait to win his trademark back from WWE. He also mentioned how WWE manipulates their talents on an asymmetrical contract. Just past month, reports were around that WWE had reached a settlement with Ryback regarding his TM, wherein he would also stop commenting about WWE and Vince McMahon.

Back in 2017, Ryback had said that Walking away from WWE wasn’t an easy decision and he had the courage to pull off this decision, He had mentioned that the day he walked out from WWE was by far the greatest day of his life. He also spoke how Vince McMahon despised him and how it influenced his viewpoint.

Since his departure from WWE, Ryback had indicated that he would be joining AEW, but as of now he hasn’t been seen in AEW and there are no official reports of him signing with AEW. Ryback is said to have been retired in 2022.
