Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson returned on this week’s SmackDown and seemingly challenged Roman Reigns to a match at WrestleMania. However, this came at the expense of Cody Rhodes, who won the Royal Rumble match. After the show went off-the-air, Sami Zayn commented on The Great One’s surprising appearance last night.

The former Intercontinental Champion showered praise on the current Superstars, bringing up how fans are lucky to witness this era. Sami Zayn claimed that The Rock is lucky to be a part of WWE, just like the Stamford-based promotion is lucky to have him as well. Furthermore, he pointed out how the star power of the roster has led to a series of sold-out arenas.

It’s awesome to have The Rock. We’re lucky to have him. But you know, The Rock is lucky to have the WWE, too. Because we are living in the best time with the best superstars in the WWE

At last, the 39-year-old thanked the fans in attendance for their contribution to the successful period. Evidently, it was a fiery promo from Sami, who wrestled in a dark match after SmackDown. The Master Strategist recently returned in the Royal Rumble match; however, he was eliminated by Drew McIntyre.

Zayn had quite a successful 2023, perhaps his best year in WWE. The former Bloodline member played a crucial role in the faction’s storyline. Eventually, he headlined WrestleMania alongside his best friend, Kevin Owens, where they defeated The Usos to become Undisputed Tag Team Champions. Fans are anticipating what lies ahead for Sami on the Road to WrestleMania.

Will Sami Zayn claim his first World Title in 2024?

The absences of CM Punk and Brock Lesnar have led to WrestleMania 40 plans inevitably changing. The former’s injury has left World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, without an opponent. As a result, some members of the WWE Universe are vying for Sami Zayn to replace Punk in the title match.

For years, fans have called for the former Bloodline member to claim his first World Championship on the main roster. After missing out at Elimination Chamber 2023, he might look for another opportunity at this year’s Showcase of Immortals. However, Sami Zayn will have to fight off a hungry and ruthless Drew McIntyre, whose character change has led to both men feuding for the past few months or so.

Another possible outcome could be a triple threat match involving Sami, Drew, and Seth for the World Heavyweight Championship. Needless to say, fans will have to wait and see whether The Master Strategist claims championship gold in 2024.
