This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw saw Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso challenge Finn Balor and Damian Priest for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championships. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, who have also been battling The Judgment Day, seem to have mixed reactions about the title match.

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens are the former WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions. They lost their titles to The Judgment Day at Payback last month. Ever since, the longtime friends have been constantly trying to win them back. They had a title opportunity this week on RAW but failed to capitalize on that.

WWE on X has posted an exclusive interview with Sami Zayn and KO sharing their thoughts about the tag team match with Byron Saxton. Zayn said, “Mixed emotions here Byron. I’m happy for Jey Uso. I genuinely am. And for Cody Rhodes. Those guys are my friends and I want the best for them. But I can’t help but feel that those are our championships.”

The former Intercontinental champion went on to say, “Now we are being kicked to the back of the line. That’s not a great feeling.” Although Zayn is happy about Cody and Jey getting a title shot, he is seemingly unhappy that he was pushed back of the line.

When Kevin Owens was asked to share his thoughts he said, “I don’t have mixed emotions. I couldn’t care less. I don’t care who the champions are. It doesn’t matter. Look all I care about is that whoever walks out of Fastlane as tag team champions, whether it’s Judgment Day or Cody and Jey…They should expect to see us real soon.”

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso will appear on SmackDown this week

After the official announcement of Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso’s tag team match against The Judgment Day at Fastlane, The American Nightmare decided to have some fun with his opponents. During the middle of the show, Rhodes appeared in an interview. He said that he had never planned to tag with the former Bloodline member. He also feels that Judgment Day has backed themselves into this fight.

He went on to say, “I’ve heard that their plan is to be at SmackDown this Friday. That’s great. Guess what, I’ll be there too.” He also announced that he would not be alone on Friday night. This week’s SmackDown will mark the return of Jey Uso to the blue brand for the first time after he announced his decision to quit The Bloodline and the company.

The American Nightmare promised to win the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championships at Fastlane. He also claims that their win over The Judgment Day will for sure change the landscape of Monday Night Raw. It will be interesting to see how things shape up in the coming weeks.
