On this week’s SmackDown, Sami Zayn battled Randy Orton in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match. Both the babyfaces delivered a classic match and had fans on the edge of their seats. Orton delivered Zayn with the three most dangerous letters in the WWE, RKO, to pick up the win

After the match, Sami walked back to the locker room, disappointed. Zayn was stopped by a backstage interviewer to address the situation. The 39-year-old superstar looked heartbroken. He claimed that while there is no shame in losing to Randy, it was a tough loss to suffer for him.

Not much to say, man! No shame in losing to Randy Orton, but you know, it's a tough one.

Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton have punched their tickets to Perth, Australia, but the same cannot be said about The Great Liberator. It is surprising to note that last year, when this PLE was held in Canada, Sami was in the main event. He fought Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Title. The match was undoubtedly one of the most memorable of Zayn’s career.

Sami and Kevin Owens defeated The Usos at WrestleMania 39 for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships. This was the former Bloodline member’s first WrestleMania main event. However, this year, there is no clear direction for Zayn on the Road to WrestleMania. It will be interesting to see how he bounces back and claims his spot at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Men’s World Titles unlikely to be defended at Elimination Chamber

Cody Rhodes is looking to finish his story by ending Roman’s Reign(s) of terror. It seems that WWE will book the rivalry effectively and make them appear in a handful of episodes of SmackDown. As such, The Tribal Chief is currently not advertised for Elimination Chamber . Therefore, WWE will look forward to building other main storylines, including the World Heavyweight Title picture.

Both Reigns and Seth Rollins are set to miss Elimination Chamber: Perth. The Head of the Table has defended his title in the prior PLEs until this year’s. It was assumed that Rollins would defend his title inside the chamber, but his injuries won’t allow him. As a result, Drew, Randy, and four others will clash to get a chance to challenge him at WrestleMania.

WWE is returning to Australia for the first time since 2018 to host Elimination Chamber: Perth. The show is sure to deliver some great moments and add more intrigue to the Road to WrestleMania. Owing to the recent storyline changes, WWE might end up including Reigns or Rollins as a part of the show.
