This week’s Raw in Cleveland was a D-Day in CM Punk‘s reinvigorated WWE run. He had to make a choice and reveal which brand he was going to sign with. After making his entrance, Punk shed some light on his history with the building he was in last night. It was the same place The Best in the World walked out on WWE around a decade ago.
He nimbly changed gears and revealed that he would sign with Monday Night Raw. Just after he put pen to paper and made Adam Pearce happy, Seth Rollins entered the chat. And for the first time in over a decade, Punk and Rollins were face-to-face. At least for a minute, neither Punk nor Rollins uttered a word, as they basked in the adulation of a split crowd in Cleveland.

Rollins broke the ice first, and he went straight after Punk. One of the major arguments that The Visionary made was expressing his resentment about what Punk had been saying since his return at Survivor Series. And that’s calling WWE his home. Seth rebuked Punk for saying so, as all he did was leave the company high and dry and vitiate the ambiance of the locker room.
Once again, Seth affirmed that he hated Punk with every fiber in his body. The World Heavyweight Champion blew out the candles on The Voice of the Voiceless and said that Punk has one last chance to protect his legacy. At one point, the Drip God took it to a whole new level when he implicitly told Punk that he was going to do everything in his power to protect WWE’s solidarity from The Best in the World.
CM Punk is entering next year’s Royal Rumble match
Rollins had control of the segment for the most part. However, all Punk needed was to get a microphone in his hand and throw a couple of barn burners at Seth.

The Chicago-based superstar declared himself for the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match and gave insight into the future. Punk told Seth that after winning the Rumble, he might potentially go after The Visionary.
Now, as made official by WWE, it will be CM Punk’s first Royal Rumble appearance since 2014. Moreover, it could be Punk’s first WWE match since his return last month. Whatever it might be, Punk and Rollins are destined to clash, and the fans should brace themselves for such high-intensity hook-ups in the forthcoming weeks.
