During WWE’s recent tour of Mexico, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins paid tremendous respect to Hall Of Famer Rey Mysterio. The Visionary made sure to express his gratitude to the legendary luchador at the end of the show. The segment was a delight for the fans in the arena who came to see their hometown hero.

The former Shield member proclaimed that the 48-year-old legend was the “Greatest Luchador Of All Time.” He got down on his knees to thank Rey Mysterio on behalf of him and the whole WWE Universe. This turned into a wholesome moment, as the legendary luchador ended up hugging Rollins as a show of appreciation.

Seth Rollins recently mentioned Rey Mysterio during the Impaulsive podcast. Rollins called him one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, citing his influence and longevity as major factors. The moment between the two superstars took place after Seth had defeated Dominik Mysterio during the house show. Following the match, Rey saved the Champion from the attack of the Judgment Day. Seth Rollins and Mysterio had an intense rivalry in 2020. The feud had turned personal as the Visionary targeted not only the masked superstar but his entire family. The pair engaged in a gruesome “Eye for an Eye” match at that year’s Extreme Rules. Soon, Dominik Mysterio got involved in the storyline, leading to his debut at SummerSlam in an engaging match against The Visionary.

This year’s SummerSlam is shaping up to be a blockbuster event. One of the main matches on the show is the World Heavyweight Championship bout between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. This rivalry is seven years in the making, as Rollins injured Balor during their encounter for the Universal Championship in 2016.

Finn Balor was forced to vacate his title, and ever since, he has not been able to capture world title gold on the main roster. There might have been plenty of matches between the two over the past years, but none have been quite as personal as this. Balor has vowed to take vengeance for what The Visionary did to him.

The Judgment Day member might bring back his alter ego “The Demon King,” as he did at the biggest party of the summer exactly seven years ago. Seth Rollins needs to be prepared for what might be his biggest test yet as the World Heavyweight Champion. Meanwhile, Finn may have to watch his back, as there’s a fellow teammate with a briefcase who might have other plans.
