Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle will face each other at the Extreme Rules Premium Live Event in a fight pit match on October 8th. The record between the two at PLE stands at 1-0, with Seth winning at the Clash at the Castle premium live event against Riddle. The match is highly anticipated due to the concept, and we might see Seth Rollins end up being a part of another five-star match this year.
Seth Rollins has been putting in great performances this year, but he has yet to win a singles championship after 2019. He hasn’t won any singles championship since 2019, with his Universal Championship win at SummerSlam 2019 being the last win as of now. Rollins won the championship from Brock Lesnar and held it for 81 days before losing to The Fiend Bray Wyatt at the 2019 Crown Jewel.
Thereafter, Seth Rollins has competed for a singles Championship numerous times but has failed to win the title, with most recently fighting for the United States Championship against Bobby Lashley on RAW.
Even though he hadn’t won any singles Championship since 2019, he managed to win the RAW Tag Team Championship with Buddy Murphy. That was Seth Rollins’ sixth tag team Championship win and Buddy’s first. After more than a month, they lost the championship to the street profits. So, technically, that was the last Championship Seth donned around his waist.

Rollins’ achieved everything in the company when Vince McMahon was the CEO of the company, and he was shocked when Vince McMahon announced his retirement. In a recent interview with BT Sport’s Ariel Helwani, Seth expressed his struggle to accept the news. The message from his chairman that he had received on his phone, he said, caught him off guard as he and his wife, Becky Lynch, were leaving for a live event.
Becky was reportedly astonished and surprised when Rollins broke the news to her. Seth Rollins shares a great relationship with Triple H, and the latter was a mentor to Seth during his NXT days. Although Seth Rollins isn’t slated for a championship opportunity in the near future, we may definitely see him win the World Championship once more.
“I couldn’t believe it. It’s one of those things where you’ll never forget, I was in the airport, we [Becky Lynch and I] were heading out to a live event, we were flying out on a Friday… and so I got the text ‘Check your app from a note from the chairman’ and I click it… I was like [surprised face]. She just saw my face from a distance, she’s like ‘What’s wrong?’ I’m like ‘Did you get the text?’ She’s like ‘No, what?’ And I had her look at it and she was like ‘Oh my God, what? That’s it?’ And I think both of us were just like ‘What?!”
Seth Rollins was in a feud with Cody Rhodes before his feud with Riddle, and both Rollins and Rhodes ended up having a five-star match at WWE Hell in a Cell this year. The rivalry doesn’t seem to have ended as Rhodes went out of action due to injury and is expected to return to the company next year.
