Seth Rollins is currently one of the top stars in the company. While The Monday Night Messiah’s match at SummerSlam stands canceled due to an unexpected injury to his opponent i.e. Riddle, he still waits if another opponent will be presented against him or not. It would not be wrong to say that Rollins and other superstars work day and night to get to the position they are in today. These professionally trained athletes put their lives at risk for the sake of the entertainment of the audiences.
A bitter truth that needs to be taken with a pinch of salt is that celebrities or part-time superstars who don’t spend much time in the ring get that spotlight because of their stature outside the ring. But the other side to this is that they fetch a lot of audiences as well which again directly brings us back to the monetary benefits of the company and to sustain in the long run and feed your wrestlers well you need that as well.
Seth Rollins says that “there are always two sides of coin”
The Visionary was also caught in the same dilemma when he was asked about the likes of Logan Paul and Pat McAfee competing at a premium live event like Summerslam and facing stars like The Miz and Happy While speaking to Sports1, Rollins said- “When someone works their *ss off every week to be on a show like that, there’s frustration and I totally understand that.”
“But also to consider: For Paul’s and McAfee’s opponents, The Miz and Happy Corbin, the SummerSlam will be a big day that they really deserve and that they might not experience without them. As I said, it has more than one side. I understand both perspectives and in the end, I don’t have to decide what is wrong and what is right. Other people decide what should bring in money for the company. My job is to give it my all in the ring!”
Rollins explained that there are two sides to a coin and thus we should incorporate both perspectives. Also, he put in an important point in the discussion that at the end of the day celebrities bring more audience to the company due to their huge social base in other areas and they’ve also worked hard to reach the position they are at. Also, Rollins at the end of the interview emphasized the fact that the wrestler has to give his/her best when they enter the ring, it doesn’t matter who is in front of them at the end of the day.
