“I am unquestionably Mr. SummerSlam”- Seth Rollins declares that he is the best when it comes to performing at SummerSlam

Seth Rollins has been displaying the Visionary gimmick since 2021 and has received mixed reviews for it, with former writer Vince Russo calling it stupid, while Mick Foley calling it one of his favorites in recent years. Seth Rollins was involved in a feud with Cesaro in 2021 and was defeated by him at WrestleMania 37. Rollins then managed to defeat Cesaro at WrestleMania Backlash and then ended his feud with him when he defeated him again in the MITB Qualification match. This was Seth Rollins’ first half of 2021
In the second half of 2021, Seth Rollins began feuding with Edge, when he cost him the Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns. “The Rated R” Superstar would then challenge Seth for a match at SummerSlam, which Seth accept and was defeated by Edge at the event. They further crossed paths at Crown Jewel, where Rollins was again defeated by Edge in a Hell in a Cell match thus ending their feud. By the end of the year Seth Rollins became the number 1 contender for the WWE Championship at Day 1, At the event him along with Bobby Lashley, Big E(c) and Kevin Owens were defeated by Brock Lesnar.

Seth Rollins had made history at SummerSlam 2015
In August 2015, Seth Rollins was a World Heavyweight Champion back then and he Challenged the then United States Champion John Cena in a winner takes all match at SummerSlam. Cena accepted the challenge on an episode of Tough Enough.
At the event, John Cena delivered an Attitude adjustment on Seth Rollins and went for the pinfall but the latter kicked out. When Seth attempted pedigree, Cena countered and went for the Figure Four Leglock but Seth countered it and held John, who managed to reach the ropes. John then attempted another Attitude adjustment but wasn’t successful in pinning “The Visionary”.
Towards the end of the match John Stewart, who was the host of SummerSlam entered the ring with the steel chair and it looked as if he was there to help Cena, but instead struck John Cena with it. Seth Rollins took the advantage of it and pinned Cena successfully to become the first man in the history of WWE to hold the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the United States Championship simultaneously.
After losing the Money in the Bank Ladder match, Seth recently started a rivalry with Riddle. They have become more hostile against one another over the previous several weeks, and SummerSlam will settle the matter for both of them.
During Seth Rollins’ recent appearance on RAW Talk, he said that he has various nicknames such as The Visionary, The Revolutionary, The Architect, The Kingslayer and The Beastslayer but at this time of the year everyone calls him “King of Summer” and that he is undoubtedly Mr. SummerSlam, indicating that he is the best when it comes to performing at SummerSlam.
“I got a nickname around this time of year. And you know all the other nicknames. You know The Visionary, The Revolutionary, The Architect, The Kingslayer, The Beastslayer. But specifically around this time of year, they call me The King of the Summer as I am unquestionably Mr. SummerSlam. Now here we are, on the brink of another career-defining performance by yours truly.”
SummerSlam will take place on July 30th at Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tennessee.
