The Visionary, Seth Rollins, successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship at Fastlane. In the main event, he fought Shinsuke Nakamura in a brutal Last Man Standing match. Clearly, the latter delivered on his promise and targeted the champion’s back throughout the encounter. After the huge win, Rollins penned down a heartfelt note on X.
“My heart keeps saying, ‘Stay young.’ My lower back seems to disagree,” he wrote. Along with that, Seth Rollins posted a clip of him celebrating the victory while the crowd serenaded his theme music. Rollins seemingly confirmed that his back issues worsened after the gruesome encounter. However, his love for professional wrestling keeps pushing him to continue.
By the looks of it, The Visionary’s rivalry with Shinsuke Nakamura has concluded. Therefore, a new chapter in his World title reign might unfold in the coming weeks. Previously, Rollins mentioned how he would like to give Ricochet a chance at a championship match. Therefore, the high-flyer may end up challenging the former Shield member in the near future.
Also, another viable contender on Monday Night Raw is Drew McIntyre, who is waiting for an opportunity. Recently, the Scottish Warrior has teased a “heel turn” and can possibly pursue winning his first World title in two years. All in all, it will be interesting to see what lies in store for Seth Rollins on the next episode of Raw.
Seth Rollins is one of the few names CM Punk might need to “mend fences with”
CM Punk is currently at the center of headlines as speculations of a possible return to the WWE begin to grow. Along with that, multiple teases have occurred on television, most of them involving Seth Rollins. As a result, fans believe that if the Straight Edge superstar ends up returning, his first major opponent might end up being The Visionary.
However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful recently revealed that CM Punk will have to “mend fences” with a few superstars. While one of the wrestlers mentioned was Roman Reigns, Rollins is seemingly another wrestler who is not on good terms with him. Previously, the Seth called Punk a “cancer” in the locker room.
Furthermore, the current World Heavyweight Champion claimed that he has never been a fan of CM Punk. The Second City Saint is heavily rumored to make his return to the Stamford-based promotion. Survivor Series and Royal Rumble are the two places where the former AEW star is expected to make his return.
