In 2012, Seth Rollins appeared alongside Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns at the Survivor Series and they helped CM Punk get a victory over John Cena at the event. This was the formation of what would be one of the best stables in WWE history. They had great matches and showed the WWE Universe that heels can dominate, if no one is able to bring them down. They left their mark on WWE and the industry as a whole consistently outperforming expectations.

This year at Royal Rumble, Rollins faced his Shield partner and Tribal Chief Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship, Seth Rollins won the match but the Championship was retained by Reigns as the title couldn’t be won by disqualification as per the stipulation.

Seth had entered the arena decked out in shield gear. He recently discussed that entrance in an interview with Digital Spy’s Stephanie Chase. According to Seth, his friends who were travelling up for the show sent it to him because the event was in St. Louis, which is close to his house in Iowa, where he keeps his old belongings. Seth responded that it felt hot because he is used to wrestling without a shirt these days and that it was very uncomfortable to wear the gear again because it felt so much warmer.

“Fortunately, the event was in St. Louis, which is a short drive from my home in Iowa where I kept all my old stuff. So, I had a few friends coming up for the show and so I had to have them put it in a backpack, my mom packed it and delivered it to the guys, and they brought it down. It’s very warm, it’s cumbersome. I’m so used to wrestling with a shirt off now that when I’ve got all those layers on, the vest and pants and all that, it’s very warm, very much warmer than I would like it to be,”

Rollins will face Riddle at SummerSlam on July 30th at Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tennessee.
