One way or the other, Seth Rollins is hellbent on letting people know that the World Heavyweight Championship is going to be the ultimate prize in all of sports entertainment.

At Night of Champions, Seth Rollins was crowned as the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion. Since then, he’s made a resolution, and that’s to present that gold as the top prize in sports entertainment. Needless to say, The Visionary is well aware of the chit-chat surrounding the World Heavyweight Title as a consolation. That might be true for now, however, it can be turned around through constant representation.
During a recent interview with Mark Andrews: My Love Letter to Wrestling, Rollins explained why they had to introduce a second World title. Adding Roman Reigns’ part-schedule as the catalyst, the Architect highlighted the hot state of WWE product right now. There’s some many viable contenders in the queue waiting for their opportunity. Also, with sold-out shows almost on a weekly basis, they need to keep up with that level of competition.
“I think just kind of calling it the work-rate title is a little bit underselling it. At the end of the day, the title exists because our roster is so chock-full of talent, right? There’s just too much to have one champion that’s not around very much. And so, I think the fact that we have so many worthy contenders, people that could hold this championship, I think that is the reason the title exists,” said Rollins.
As noted on WWE’s official website, the current World Heavyweight Title doesn’t carry its previous lineage. Hence, there’s a whole new chapter to be written. But, with Seth Rollins being the one holding it, there’s no worrying. He’s insanely over among the WWE Universe at the moment and his popularity is always on the rise.
Seth Rollins has a Judgemental enemy on his sights
Ever since capturing the World Heavyweight Championship, Rollins is dealing with The Judgment Day. This week, he defeated Damian Priest after a gut-wrenching showdown. Following that match, the champ came face-to-face with a familiar enemy – Finn Balor. Those men had a cool staredown to close the night from Hartford. Earlier on in the show, the former Messiah did take a shot at Balor’s 24-hour long Universal Title reign.
That surely would’ve struck the Irishman deep into his heart. That botched powerbomb spot nearly 7 years ago almost ended The Prince’s career. Moreover, the fans still wonder the present scenario for Balor, had he never suffered that injury at SummerSlam. But now, he does have an opportunity to avenge that. That being said, Seth Rollins is rumored to defend his title against Finn Balor at Money in the Bank next month.
