Apart from The Bloodline, LA Knight is the hottest commodity in all of wrestling right now. The fans absolutely adore him, and he keeps adding to their delight. Well, it took a while for everyone to recognize Knight’s actual value. That was actually worth it, as he’s getting the flowers right now in a big way. However, it couldn’t have been possible today if a certain WWE legend didn’t convince the higher-ups about the Megastar, repeatedly.
The said legend is none other than Shawn Michaels. Fans should thank HBK for seeing long ago what everyone’s up to right now. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Michaels revealed that he always told LA Knight that fans cared about him. Moreover, the NXT creative lead commended Knight’s eagerness to have things done to perfection.
Shawn Michaels believed that the former Impact Wrestling star was already a perfect fit for the main roster back then. However, to ensure it becomes a reality one day, The Showstopper knocked in the door of the people in charge. He periodically told the higher-ups how fans view the 40-year-old as a whole. Mr. WrestleMania even asked the officials to never sleep on someone as charismatic as the former Eli Drake.
At the end, he thanked the management for not disobeying his advice. Well, HBK’s dream almost got crushed by Vince McMahon when he repackaged Knight as Max Dupri. For weeks, the latter had to ship upstream while managing the Maximum Male Models. However, fortunes took an unprecedented turn when Triple H replaced Mr. McMahon as the Head of Creative. Then, he reverted the MMM manager to LA Knight.
LA Knight is likely going to SummerSlam this year

After Knight lost the US Title Invitational Fatal-Four-Way last week, fans were left disappointed. Even if he wasn’t pinned, that defeat seemed as if he were set to miss SummerSlam. However, according to a report from Better Wrestling Experience (Boozer 666), WWE plans to have a certain segment for The Megastar in Detroit. It was mentioned that the segment could also turn into a match.
Apart from that, BWE revealed that Knight is set for a match on this week’s SmackDown in New Orleans. The opponent was not disclosed, but an announcement can be expected from the former Eli Drake. Upon being asked whether Knight’s promulgation is regarding SummerSlam, the BWE approved of that. Well, if true, there couldn’t have been a better news for LA Knight’s fans.
According to the same account, the higher-ups see value in Knight. It’s only a matter of time before the 40-year-old gets onboard for a significant push in the company. As is known, once a wise man said – “Good things come to those who wait.”
