Sheamus is a wrestling veteran and has been signed to the WWE for almost 2 decades. For almost 7 months, he hasn’t appeared in the WWE programming. There were rumors of his contract expiring amid the long hiatus. He was highly active on his X account and its sudden deactivation has sparked many speculations about him not returning to the WWE.
Recently, WWE Universe was shocked to acknowledge Sheamus’ X account getting deactivated. The social media shutdown move has left the WWE Universe wondering about the future of The Celtic King. The 46-year-old Superstar repeatedly took shots at the Intercontinental Champion, Gunther ,and stayed connected with his fans.
The main reason for the social media platform shutdown has not been unveiled. However, his fans are left pondering about the status of the former 3-time WWE Champion amid the ongoing situation. For those unaware, Sheamus is still signed to the WWE and there has been no official status regarding him from the WWE. Moreover, it was speculated that he is closing in on his big return.
Sheamus has been sidelined after sustaining a shoulder injury. During his last run, he was the leader of his faction, The Brawling Brutes featuring Butch and Ridge Holland. Both of his protégés have been separated and have gone their separate ways and Butch has become Pete Dunne. Both of the former Brawling Brutes leaving the faction adds fuel to the end of Sheamus’ time in the WWE.
Sheamus is unable to complete his remaining goals in the WWE with uncertainty in the future
The wrestling career Sheamus has had is a dream for many. The SmackDown Superstar has earned multiple accolades. From winning championships to King of the Ring to the Royal Rumble Match, the Great White has achieved almost everything. Despite his tremendous list of accomplishments, he has expressed his desire to add some more feathers to his cap.
During his ongoing long hiatus, Sheamus unveiled his plans on Virgin Media Sport Stories. The former World Heavyweight Champion stated how he wants to become the WWE Grand Slam Champion after winning the coveted Intercontinental Title. Despite his hard work and putting on tough fights, the Brawling Brute has always come up short against the current Champ, Gunther.
Another wish that the 3-time United States Champion wants to accomplish is to main event WrestleMania. Despite having a successful WWE career and having matches at the Showcase of the Immortals, the future Hall of Famer has never main-evented the biggest PLE of the year. Moreover, with WreslteMania XL right around the corner, it seems that The Celtic Conqueror will miss the event this year.
