Sheamus recently lost the chance of becoming a grand Slam Champion at the Clash at the Castle Live event, where he lost the WWE Intercontinental Champion match to Gunther. The match was being one of the best matches in recent times and showcased the ultimate strength of the two wrestlers.

Both Gunther and Sheamus were fierce and tough towards each other, with Gunther showing his aggressiveness by delivering the brutal chops on Sheamus’ chest. Gunther won the match by delivering a powerbomb followed by a lariat. The Celtic warrior received a standing ovation after the match.

Sheamus vs Gunther at the Clash at the Castle was awarded 5 stars recently by notable journalist Dave Meltzer and it indeed deserves the praise. Sheamus will surely challenge Gunther again as he aims to become the Grand Slam Champion in the WWE.

Sheamus also had plans to cash in the MITB contract if he would have won this year, to cash it in for the IC title. Sheamus and Gunther are currently a part of faction and the two superstars made their way towards the ring at the Clash at the Castle with their respective factions, The Imperium and Brawling Brutes.

The two members of Brawling Brutes and The Imperium along with New Day and Hit Row fought for the no. 1 contender match for the Unified Tag Team Championship against the Usos. The match was won by Brawling Brutes and they will now face the Usos next week for the Championship on SmackDown.

After the win, The Brawling Brutes appeared on the SmackDown Lowdown and spoke about their win. Sheamus said that next week the brawling Brutes will end family curse that has cast a shadow over the WWE and they will definitely stop the bloodline. He implied that the Usos have been holding all the Tag Team Championship for a long time and referred to their tag team reign as a curse.

“Another banger from the Brawling Brutes and next week when Ridge “The Fridge” here and Butchy take on The Usos, it will be the beginning of the end for that family curse that has cast a shadow over this company. Somebody has to stop the Bloodline and we’re the fellas to do it. And do you know why, Meggy? Because we put on Banger after Banger after Banger after Banger after Banger after Banger.”

Sheamus and Gunther’s next encounter is unknown as of now but the feud between them hasn’t ended for sure and they will lock horns once again very soon.
