“Absolutely love that”- Wrestling Twitter hails Shotzi’s class act for sacrificing her hair on WWE SmackDown supporting her cancer-affected sister

Shotzi captured millions of hearts this week on SmackDown. She appeared on the show for the first time since Bayley and Iyo Sky tragically shredded her ponytail two weeks ago. The 31-year-old flashed on the Jumbotron after Bayley defeated Zelina Vega in a quick match. Shotzi seemed unhinged and was laughing like an evil witch. She took a trimmer and shaved her head almost completely.
The Santa Clara-based wrestler had a villainous laugh, which caused serious concern on the faces of two-thirds of the Damage CTRL. Bayley acted like she saw a ghost. The entire vignette was very well done and received widespread acclaim from the WWE Universe. Most of them seemed elated for such a unique and exciting character change for Shotzi. However, some trolls used their worn-out mentality.
According to them, the change was unnecessary and felt like a Vince McMahon call. However, their propaganda didn’t last long, as Shotzi came up with a shocking revelation. She revealed that her sister is a cancer patient and is currently on Chemotherapy. To support her sister, Shotzi decided to shave her head too. And that’s why WWE filmed that kind of angle on the show.
There’s no word on whether Shotzi personally requested the move. No matter whose call it was, the entire thing is quickly gaining appreciation all around. Shortly after her segment this week on SmackDown, Shotzi updated her Instagram story, where she wrote, “I love you Sister! You are my inspiration!” And that’s how people got to know about the actual backstory.

WWE Universe reacts at Shotzi following her classy act
Shotzi has gained a lot of prominence on the main roster after showcasing her daredevil antics and a strong character. That being said, she hasn’t been part of good storylines and matches on the main-roster. That was one of the major reasons why fans weren’t able to connect with her. However, after what she did on SmackDown, she’s earning the respect of the WWE Universe.
As seen through these responses, most of the fans weren’t aware of Shotzi’s sister’s medical condition. However, as it became public, everyone was impressed. For sure, this is the change the former NXT Women’s Tag-Team Champion needed. She can now take care of her business and show the world what she’s capable of.
