“Why is this such a heated topic?”; Simone Johnson blasts critics after they discard her new ring name

Dwyane Johnson and Simone Johnson

Simone Johnson was signed by WWE back in May 2020. She had trained at the Performance Center for around 3 months before being signed on. Recently, the megastar’s daughter got a new ring name ‘Ava Raine’ which thousands around the world have discarded for not having his family’s signifance in it.

Though many likes the name and supported her, Simone Johnson didn’t like the criticism she received from people and reacted to it on Twitter saying that not having a ring name related to the family doesn’t discredit the family’s legacy and the accomplishments. Here’s what she said:

“I probably sound like a broken record & hopefully this is the last I’ll mention this but I don’t understand why people being portrayed as separate individuals from their family name is such a heated topic. A name doesn’t discredit any prior accomplishments from any family. I could build my entire career around my father & people would still bash me anyway. & I’m not trying to ignore or undermine all the sweet comments & support I get ? thank you guys.”
