Quickly getting into the act, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis reminded an outspoken Dominik Mysterio who he actually is.

Shortly after Dominik Mysterio rudely interrupted Triple H‘s announcement spree on last night’s SmackDown, the brand-new general manager of the blue brand, Nick Aldis, was introduced. Nick, initially brought in as a tryout for the role of producer, impressed the higher-ups with his work. His impact was imminent as soon as he got on camera, and he certainly made that impact at the expense of Dominik Mysterio.
While shaking hands with the NXT North American Champion, SmackDown’s newest GM said he’s a fan, and just when Dom smirked, Aldis said, “of your dad,” referring to Rey Mysterio. That was as fierce as it could get. For those who aren’t aware, Nick Aldis, formerly known as Magnus, is a former NWA champion. He was an integral aspect of TNA’s programming back then. However, it’s the biggest opportunity for him to showcase what he has up his sleeves.
Before the former Impact Wrestling star confronted Dominik Mysterio, the 26-year-old was bragging about the injustice served to The Judgment Day at Fastlane. However, the boos were so loud that neither Triple H nor those watching at home could decipher what he was saying. Realizing fans wouldn’t stop until he intervened, The Game eventually had to step in.
Nick Aldis’ wife, WWE Hall of Famer Mickie James, reacted to her husband’s WWE television debut on SmackDown. Discussions for her to join Nick as “Co-GM” in WWE were reportedly considered but now seem unlikely. The 36-year-old certainly intimidated Dominik on the mic last night, although he might feel fortunate that Rhea Ripley wasn’t present with Dom, as the outcome could have been different.

Kevin Owens made Dominik Mysterio’s night even worse
Dominik’s humiliation just didn’t end with Nick Aldis’ mic prowess. The SmackDown GM didn’t waste any time to assume his duties as he introduced Jey Uso’s trade replacement for the blue brand. Unlike what the majority would’ve thought, it was Kevin Owens and not Cody Rhodes.

The Prizefighter entered the ring and stunned Dominik Mysterio. That confirms his separation from Sami Zayn as a tag team, and Owens will seek opportunities on SmackDown from now on. That also means he would not have to deal with Judgment Day anymore, it appears. Also, to Dom’s credit, he sold that Stunner to perfection, and he has become quite a move-seller.
Recently, he escaped a nightmare when he pipped Trick Williams to regain the NXT North American title. And now, he would be hoping for his buddies, Damian Priest and Finn Balor, to regain those Undisputed Tag Team titles from Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso on Raw this Monday.
