Dragon Lee has impressed many wrestling fans in a short time with his entertaining and high-octane matches. He represents his luchador culture well, and his idol Rey Mysterio has already declared him his successor. During a live event, Lee let his guard down to meet a young fan and unmasked for a wholesome gesture.

During untelevised live events, superstars can be themselves and communicate more freely with the fans. Lee fought Santos Escobar on a holiday tour and lost the match. After the match, Lee went to a young fan and swapped the mask with him by carefully crouching, so he could hide his face from the crowd, and quickly wore another mask.

Fans loved the gesture from Lee and said this is what wrestling is all about—a bridge that connects the fans with their favorite superstars. Lee has shown a glimpse of his idol, Rey Mysterio, in him as a loving and caring luchador.

There is mutual respect between them. So much so that Rey believes that Lee will become his version of Rey Mysterio and will make a significant impact in the wrestling world.

Fans believe that WWE has already found their next Rey Mysterio, and he will become a megastar if he continues to deliver amazing matches regularly. He got called up from NXT last month and had a match with the likes of Cedric Alexander and Escobar. It will be interesting to see whether he can progress ahead in the U.S. Title tournament or not.

Dragon Lee is eager to get his hands on Santos Escobar in the United States tournament

The rivalry between Dragon Lee and Santos Escobar is growing day by day. After Escobar attacked his mentor and LWO leader Rey Mysterio, Lee decided to step up and fight Escobar at Survivor Series but unfortunately lost the match.

But this rivalry is in no way over, as the luchador is looking forward to getting his revenge on Escobar. He has the perfect chance as they will collide against each other in round 1 of the United States Title Tournament to determine the No. 1 contender who will challenge the current champion, Logan Paul.

Dragon spoke with Cathy Kelly in a backstage interview and said his wish came true, and now he can truly get revenge on Escobar after what he did to LWO and Rey. He further added that in this tournament he intends to show the world what he is capable of and has promised to become the new U.S. Champion.

Lee has been excellent during his run on the main roster. However, if there’s one thing he hasn’t been able to do, it’s beating his arch-rival, Escobar. It will be interesting to see whether he is finally able to defeat him.
