Solo Sikoa displays a certain level of presence whenever he’s on television. Needles to say, his addition to The Bloodline has been a fantastic creative decision. His journey started from saving the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship from Roman Reigns’ grasp. At present, he’s functioning as The Enforcer of the dominant faction.

Recently, the Street Champion has adopted a familiar maneuver to his diverse arsenal. It’s nothing else than the Samoan Spike. The move which was used by the late, great Umaga. In order to pay homage to his legendary uncle, Sikoa picked up the devastating offense and would be using it regularly now.

However, many fans initially wondered who’s behind this. Few weeks ago on Raw, Solo launched a post-match attack on Matt Riddle. He first used the Spike back then. Also, he crushed Riddle’ head into the ring corner, with steel chair already stuck on the Original Bro’s neck. Since then, we’ve seen the Samoan Spike became a staple of Sikoa’s programming. He recently spoke with Joseph Staszewski of New York Post and disclosed everything.

“The idea came from Hunter [Triple H]. Hunter pulled me aside. I think it was Paul Heyman’s idea, too, so Hunter wanted to run it by me. He goes, ‘I know your uncle was a big part of your guys’ family. I know what he meant to you guys. I wanted to ask you if you would be OK using the spike?’ I was like, I don’t know. I kind of want to stay away from it because that’s his thing. For those who don’t remember who Umaga was, now I’m about to refresh their memory. It was a pretty cool moment for me to pay tribute to him.”

Basically, it’s a Triple H innovation or whatever you want to term it. The Cerebral Assassin is determined to pull out the best product for WWE fans. He’s making some serious creative changes to the previous ethics, which were heavily criticized by the WWE Universe. Hunter knows what Umaga did for this business and he wants to solidify that untanned greatness, forever.

After making such a long-lasting effect on the main-roster within months, Sikoa is in for something huge. His presentation has been top-notch and the WWE Universe is enjoying whatever he does. It would be a straightforward lie if you say that Sikoa doesn’t reflects those iconic shades of Umaga. The aggression and execution is almost as identical as Samoan Bulldozer.

As far as we’ve seen till now, the higher-ups potentially sees the Street Champion as a main-event star. The time for that may not be right just now, but he’s certainty going to turn himself into a megastar one day. Adding to the point, WWE has done a great job at building his character.

They’re portraying him as a young, serious and dominating individual. Although, we often see The Usos chilling out with Sami Zayn, the Enforcer never joins the party. The latter is all business and understands what it takes to keep strengthening one’s gimmick. He’s now scheduled to face ‘The Celtic Warrior’ Sheamus next week on SmackDown.
