This week’s SmackDown saw some exclamation marks in the build-up to Crown Jewel. Moreover, WWE taped next week’s SmackDown after the show went off air. The show next week is all set to feature stars like John Cena, Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, and Roman Reigns.

WWE has a stacked matchcard for next week’s SmackDown. As per the Wrestling Observer Radio, the show will open with Kevin Owens battling it out with Austin Theory, with Grayson Waller on the commentary. The show continued the massive build-up to John Cena and Solo Sikoa’s matchup at Crown Jewel. Cena interrupted Sikoa and laid him out.

Furthermore, the show featured the progression promo for LA Knight and Roman Reigns. The two stars exchanged words before they engaged in a huge brawl, but the officials separated them. Moreover, the main event was Bianca Belair facing Bayley in a grudge match where Bayley suffered a defeat.

Moreover, WWE also advertised Logan Paul and Rey Mysterio‘s weigh-in, which wasn’t taped in front of the live crowd. Also, Charlotte Flair and Shotzi teamed up to defeat Chelsea Green and Piper Niven in a non-title match. WWE taped the show from the same arena this week. Therefore, the next SmackDown will be in Milwaukee, just like this week.

Why WWE pretaped next week’s SmackDown?

WWE taped next week’s SmackDown from Milwaukee following this week’s episode. The fire show next week will not be broadcast live. However, the event will feature prerecorded segments and matches. WWE decided to tape next week’s show due to their next week’s mega premium live event, Crown Jewel.

The company will head to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for Crown Jewel on November 4. Due to the travel issues, WWE will be moving a bit earlier next week. In essence, the superstars will land in Saudi Arabia before Friday. Due to the company being in Saudi Arabia, next week’s episode of SmackDown was taped following this week’s show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Although most of the results from the show leaked, It will still be interesting to see what WWE has in store for the show next week. The go-home episode of SmackDown before Crown Jewel will be a massive stop before the mega event in Saudi Arabia.
