Logan Paul defeated The Miz at SummerSlam to go one up in the rivalry.
Ever since Logan Paul signed a multi-year contract with WWE , there was a lot of speculation around the role of “social media icon” in the company. Many thought that he would be making a couple of appearances to lure the crowd. But, it seems that Paul is here to leave a mark. The Youtuber turned wrestler engaged in a heated rivalry with The Miz, when the latter turned on him at Wrestlemania 38, hitting him with a skull crushing finale after they both defeated The Mysterios as a team.
The two then started exchanging blows on social media before Paul finally announce that he was coming for The Miz. On July 18th edition of Raw Logan finally made his Raw debut by confronting him and challenging him for a match at SummerSlam. Initially, The Miz refused to the challenge as felt that the social media con hadn’t received the status to fight him yet. But, then Paul would go on to say that he had “tiny balls” and that’s why he is afraid to accept the challenge.
What went down between The Miz and Logan Paul at Summerslam
An infuriated Miz would then accept the challenge before the two would start exchanging fists and Logan would throw Miz out of the ring. Earlier this week Logan was seen shedding it out in the gym indicating that he was working hard for the match. Both the superstars prepared themselves for the final showdown on Sunday.
While The Miz made an entrance with his wife Maryse and Chiampa, Paul entered alone on a not so attractive stage design. The two started off with a sluggish start with Logan showing some agility early in the match. The Miz would then try to overpower him with some aid from his ally Ciampa but he was asked to leave the ringside which he refused to do so. He was then taken out by a surprise interference from AJ Styles. Logan Paul would then deliver a phenomenal forearm which The Miz would survive.
But even before Miz could collect himself Logan would hit him with a frog splash on a commentary table. Miz’s wife Maryse would then try to distract referee allowing The Miz to use a neck card as a weapon but Logan would be quick to react and avoided the attack. The social media star would then go on to hit a skull crushing finale to The A-Lister to secure the pinfall.
WWE Universe is in Logan Paul’s awe after his stellar performance at Summerslam
