Pele had been suffering from colon cancer for a long time. With the Christmas season at its peak, Pele’s family had gathered to spend the beautiful season with him. The doctors had already broken the ice saying that his cancer had advanced to a greater extent. However, everyone seemed unaware of such an instant impact.
Pele’s family took over his Twitter account to inform the world of the heartbreaking event. “Inspiration and love marked the journey of King Pelé, who peacefully passed away today. Love, love and love, forever,” they wrote. The entire world lies still praying for strength and courage for the family of the legend.
