The Bella Twins were a formadible force in WWE’s female division back in their active days with the company. After announcing their retirement from active in-ring competition in 2019, the Total Divas hosts have made several sporadic appearances on WWE television. Recently the longest reigning Divas Champion Nikki Bella was asked about a potential comeback to the ring alongside her sister Brie and she responded by saying that they consider themselves as being more on the retired side but they always stay in touch with the current product.
Nikki revealed that she watches Monday Night Raw with her sister and then creating fantasies about that assuming some fairytale Wrestlemania plans about the same. “We’re more on the retired side, but we still live it. We’ll still watch ‘Monday Night Raw’ and I’ll be like, ‘Okay, so, like, Becky Lynch did this, Brie, and I think we should go back and do this at WrestleMania.’ I do this all the time. It never ends. Like, when you’re in, you’re in, you never leave,” said Nikki.
The Bella Twins have been a main attraction during their active days
Apart from competing in a tag team, both sisters have individually made a name for themselves acting as a singles star as both of them have held the Divas Championship in their respective careers with Nikki Bella being the record highest number of days holder of the championship in the history.
There have been numerous occasions of betrayed between the two women at times. The most notable of them being the one at Summerslam 2014 where Stephanie McMahon faced Brie Bella in a singles match. During the match, Nikki came out to help her sister taking out Triple H on ringside and then entering the ring seemingly to help her sister but then the ultimate betrayal came when Nikki slapped her own sister in the face that caused Stephanie to hit Brie with the pedigree and pick up the win.
The Bella Twins have most recently been seen competing at this year’s 30 women Royal Rumble match, although none of them drained till the end but the WWE Universe was thrilled to see them back in the ring once again.
