WATCH: The Bloodline delivers yet another 40-minute ‘Emmy-deserving’ segment to kick-off WWE SmackDown
In what probably would be remembered as the 40 most dramatic minutes to open a wrestling show, The Bloodline just did that this week on WWE SmackDown.

The Tribal Court for Roman Reigns peaked sports entertainment tonight. The Usos kicked-off the show with Paul Heyman & Solo Sikoa quickly arriving on the scenes. After a brief war of words between them, The Bloodline’s leader pulled up to the Madison Square Garden. As soon as Roman Reigns’ music hit, the place went bonkers.
In the ring, The Usos had their opening shot. They ran a video package compiling some of Roman’s worst moments, downsizing on his cousins. Seemingly upset over what he’s getting in return after serving The Bloodline for over 3 years, Reigns grew emotional, at least just then. He shockingly bowed down to Jey Uso, who too grew sympathetic towards The Tribal Chief.
However, showing his true colours, Roman went low on Jey. That ensued an ugly brawl in the ring. At one point, Solo Sikoa showed a tad reluctance while handing Reigns the Samoan Dynasty’s garland. That might’ve been a future tease between those two. However, for tonight, Sikoa & Reigns ganged up over The Usos. They completely annihilated the twins with Roman landing multiple steel-step shots on Jimmy’s face.
As a result, Jimmy Uso had to be hospitalized. Throughout the show, The Bloodline remained the sole focus of WWE. They kept updating on Jimmy’s situation as he was being medically evaluated. In the main-event, Jey Uso returned to The Garden, launching a vicious assault over Reigns & Sikoa. At the end, Jey Uso took Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Title and challenged him for a match.

Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso likely to main-event WWE SummerSlam this year
The battle-lines were drawn on this week’s SmackDown. Last week at Money in the Bank, Jey Uso became the 1st WWE Superstar to pin Roman Reigns after 1294 days. Since then, it was quite obvious that he’s going to challenge his cousin sooner than later. Therefore, he issued a challenge in front of a packed house at the MSG.
As of writing, WWE hasn’t made it official. But, to be honest, it’s a no-brainer matchup. Jey and Roman are bound to run it back next month. Their last singles encounter goes way back in 2020 where Reigns defeated Jey inside of Hell in a Cell. After nearly 3 years of wait, they’re going to lock horns once again.
Jimmy’s brother proved that Roman ain’t unbeatable. The former did the unthinkable in London and if he somehow replicates that performance in Detroit at the Ford Field, he’s ultimately going to be the next Tribal Chief. Although Jey Uso doesn’t plans on becoming one, he could definitely rise to his dynasty’s apex.
