For some reason, WWE decided to put LA Knight on RAW this week. Fresh off his monumental victory at SummerSlam, Knight seems to be in euphoria right now. As a result, he was seen posing for a lavish photoshoot backstage. On the other hand, The Miz also reached backstage for a photoshoot. However, the A-Lister was told to wait due to The Megastar, which made him disgruntled. Later on, he called LA Knight out for being disrespectful towards him.

While The Miz was blaming Knight for not introducing himself properly and shaking his hand, Knight’s music received yet another deafening reception. Once he got in, fans witnessed a masterpiece of a promo segment. First, the A-Lister told Knight that he is aware that The Megastar getting that groundswell at the moment. However, in Mike’s opinion, LA Knight is nothing more than an ‘Attitude Era fanboy’ playing cosplay in his ring, said The Miz.

Taking it personal, LA Knight decided to humble the former World Champion. After Miz bragged about his illustrious 20 year career in WWE, he asked Knight to detail his own. And, just then, the 40-year-old took the A-Lister’s early locker-room story and spun it around. He said how WWE bet on the wrong horses, with The Miz being one of them. Also, per the former Eli Drake, Miz was handed stuff because they (WWE) knew he was vulnerable to being thrown out of the company.

On the contrary, LA Knight talked about WWE’s stance on him. He stated that the higher-ups were never ready to view him in the same light as The Miz. After throwing verbal haymakers at each other, the two men were ready to fight. However, after getting everyone excited, the A-Lister decided to back down. But he blindsided Knight and launched a sneak attack. That didn’t go for long, as Knight countered with a BFT to close the segment.

Quite possibly for the first time on WWE’s main roster, LA Knight found his coequal in The Miz. Being two of the best talkers in the game, both Knight and Miz perhaps delivered the segment of the year. Also, the real-life elements helped make it an instant success. Fans were ecstatic after such a war of words, with some saying that the A-Lister cooked LA Knight on the microphone, something that hasn’t been done.

His ‘Attitude Era fanboy’ line drop was potentially the highlight of their heated exchange. However, Knight did fight back with one of his own. Whatever the case might be, this feud is going to do wonders moving forward. Also, if they’d built this up for weeks to have a match between Knight & Miz at Payback, it just couldn’t get better than that.

WWE has finally identified LA Knight’s untapped potential, and they’ve hit the jackpot with this guy. Triple H did say some kind words about Mr. Knight after his debacle at this year’s Money in the Bank.
