Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is well known for his endorsements of charitable funds. He recently joined hands with famous talk show host Oprah Winfrey to launch the People’s Fund of Maui. According to Dwayne’s X post, it is a charitable relief fund for the victims of the Hawaii wildfires.

The celebrity duo promised to ensure 100% of the proceeds went directly into the hands of Lahaina residents. Moreover, every adult displaced due to the disaster is eligible for $12,000 per month income. The wildfires have reportedly led to a lot of casualties and damages worth up to $6 billion.

Therefore, relief funds such as this are a big help for the people who have lost their homes and shelter. “We are honored to start this campaign with $10 million dollars and ask for your help in donating to those who have lost their homes,” announced The Rock and Oprah. Furthermore, they thanked their fans for any help directed at them.
