As rumors of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s match at WrestleMania 39 continue to fire up, a former opponent has now revealed that The People’s Champ only wanted a “poster-worthy stare down” before their match. Stare downs are usually done to build up a fight, but in The Brahma Bull’s case, who knew that the buildup would be the ultimate climax for the match as well.

The Rock last wrestled Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32 in an iconic 6-second match, which still holds the record of the fastest WrestleMania match in history. In an impromptu battle, the two superstars came face to face for a stare down before the referee rang the bell only to allow The Rock to hit a Rock Bottom on the Wyatt Family member to end the match in just 6 seconds.

Reflecting back on the match in a recent Reddit AMA, Erick Rowan wrote: “It was always a quick Rock Bottom but his idea [was] to show the size difference with a great poster worthy stare off.” However, there was not much of a size difference between the two as The Rock stands 6ft 5inches tall while Erick Rowan topples him with a height of 6ft 8inches.

Erick Rowan, a former member of The Wyatt Family, a faction led by Bray Wyatt, is a close friend of Wyatt. Besides him, Wyatt may also ask to bring back his brother, Bo Dallas. Notably, both names are rumored to be a part of a suspected Wyatt6 Faction. However, there has been no development on the faction or its members.

In an exclusive interview given to GiveMeSport, WrestleVotes had hinted towards the backstage power that Bray Wyatt holds since his return and had said, “I think this whole Bray stuff is really a collaboration of what he wants to do, and they will listen. I know for a fact that they will listen to every single idea that man has, and they will try to do it to perfection. That’s the kind of respect that he has.”

It is no surprise the way Wyatt’s return has changed the fortunes of the company. The creative team would listen to The Eater of The Worlds. However, it now needs to be seen if Wyatt would pitch the idea to bring back his close aides or the fans might never know if he has already pitched it to the higher-ups. Well, only time will tell if we see Erick Rowan back in the company.
