Multiple WWE legends are expected to be in Tampa for the weekend of the Royal Rumble.

This Saturday, WWE will present its 37th annual Royal Rumble event. And it would be the first to not be held under the Vince McMahon regime. The fans haven’t fully recovered from the horrendous Rumble matches they witnessed in 2022. However, they need not worry, as Triple H is firmly in charge of creative, this time around. Speaking of the potential surprise entrants who may pop up this weekend, there are a few.
As per PWInsider Elite, The Undertaker, his wife Michelle McCool, and WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio will be in town for the grand event. As for Taker, he has his “One DeadMan Show” lined up a day after the Royal Rumble. However, Rey Mysterio has a great chance of coming out when that buzzer hits inside Tropicana Field. He’s been out of action after getting betrayed by his own LWO member, Santos Escobar.
And finally, Undertaker’s better half, Michelle McCool, could also be one of the unannounced participants in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. A few days ago, the same outlet shed light on some more names who were internally discussed for the respective Royal Rumble matches. That includes Liv Morgan, Naomi, and WWE legend X-Pac. First of all, Liv has been on the sidelines owing to a shoulder injury she sustained back in July.
Moreover, Naomi, who finished up with TNA last night, is expected to make a WWE comeback, quite possibly at the Royal Rumble. Last but not least, X-Pac’s name also made the rounds for quite a bit. However, the Hall of Famer himself quashed the rumors of an in-ring return. It needs to be seen whether he stays committed to his word.
Brock Lesnar could return at the Royal Rumble
A major name who’s not been seen on WWE television since SummerSlam is Brock Lesnar. Ever since endorsing Cody Rhodes at The Biggest Party of the Summer, The Beast vanished with an expectation to return in the new year. Recently, Dave Meltzer of WON reported that the 10-time World Champion is not far away from re-emerging on the scene.
With Royal Rumble this weekend, probably, Lesnar will indeed plot his comeback in the coveted 30-man field. And the fans are already speculating that he might have something to do with the reigning Intercontinental Champion Gunther.
The two behemoths came face-to-face in last year’s edition, but the moment didn’t pay off. The rumors suggest that Brock Lesnar might be the one challenging Gunther for the working man’s title at WrestleMania 40. And Royal Rumble could be the perfect place to sow the seeds.
