The Undertaker is one of the most prolific WWE wrestlers of all time and has been a key figure of the attitude era of WWE. He has been the longest tenured WWE wrestler of all time and was a cornerstone of the company’s flagship event, The WrestleMania. The Undertaker was undefeated at 21 WrestleManias until 2014, when Brock Lesnar defeated him and broke the streak. The decision to end the streak was heavily criticized by many wrestling pundits and members of the WWE Universe, with many calling it one of the most shocking and depressing moments in WWE history.

The Undertaker also defeated the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair during one of his matches in the streak. Although the two had face each other in the ring before, this was at the WWE‘s flagship event; the WrestleMania. He defeated Ric Flair at the WrestleMania 18, the match was well received by the crowd and both the wrestlers put on a commendable performance, with many calling it one of Undertaker’s best WrestleMania performances at that point. It was the tenth win for The Deadman and it was at this point that people began acknowledging the streak.

The Undertaker recently stated in an interview with Sports Illustrated that although he has devoted the last 30 years of his life to wrestling, he is aware of how his body feels after a certain point. Given that the Nature Boy was recently on his deathbed, The Undertaker expressed his surprise that Ric wanted to wrestle once more. Everyone loves Ric, according to The Undertaker, and he doesn’t want to see him engage in combat once more. He ended by expressing his happiness that Ric is doing well and wishes him the best.

Ric Flair’s last bout was on July 31st, against Jeff Jarret and Jay Lethal, with his son-in-law Andrade as his tag team partner. The encounter was nasty for Ric, who was pounded on the head with a shoe by Jeff Jarret. Ric’s forehead was swollen with blood, and the nature boy smacked a weird thing on Jarret’s skull. Ric then locked in his iconic submission on Jeff Jarett and won by pinfall.

Ric Flair’s last bout took place at the Starrcast V from the Nashville Municipal Auditorium, where he was joined in the audience by The Undertaker, Bret Hart, and Mick Foley. Taker was present, along with his wife and daughter. Following the bout, The Undertaker, Hart, and Foley expressed their gratitude and respect to the 16-time world champion. When Ric Flair departed from the WWE in 2008, The Undertaker also paid respect to him.
