The Undertaker finally hung up his boots after a 30-year legendary career in the WWE. In those 30 years, Taker kept reinventing himself to adjust to different eras. His career began during the Golden Age, and he remained relevant throughout all subsequent eras until the New Era. In his entire career span, Taker respected kayfabe by not making public appearances very often to maintain the mystique of his character. Following his retirement, The Phenom has been very vocal about the current WWE product.
On a recent episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, The Undertaker had a long chat with the legendary boxer. The Deadman discussed many aspects related to his wrestling career and his opinions on other great wrestlers. Taker also addressed how the rise of social media has ruined the enjoyment of wrestling in modern times.
Taker stated, “Our fan base in general, they’re more concerned now with what’s happening behind the scenes and not so much what’s going on in the ring. They want the dirt.” He also compared the scenario with the impact of social media on modern society. He said, “It’s like anything else in our society. It’s all social media driven. Everybody puts their life out there.”
The Phenom concluded by sharing that there is a huge disconnect, which makes it harder to get people invested in good storylines. However, he feels that it’s just the way things are right now, and he can’t do anything about it even if he doesn’t like it. Maybe Taker feels this way because he was active when there was little to no exposure to social media.

Last TV appearance of The Undertaker and his future plans
On Raw Is XXX last month, The Undertaker made a return on TV with his American Bad*ss persona. When LA Knight called out legends on the show, Taker responded. Bray Wyatt also appeared during the segment and came face-to-face with The Deadman. Taker choked LA Knight but handed him over to Wyatt as a symbol of the torch being passed. Before leaving, Taker whispered something in Bray’s ears as well.
Following his TV appearance, The Undertaker brought back the “1 deadMAN SHOW” to Montreal prior to the Elimination Chamber. The show started during SummerSlam last year. During the WrestleMania season, WWE has announced two more shows for The Undertaker.
The “1 deadMAN SHOW” will next take place on March 24th in Las Vegas. The following show will be a part of the WrestleMania 39 weekend, live from Los Angeles on March 31st. Taker has been rumored to appear at WrestleMania 39 as well.
