Toni Storm has opened up on the reason for leaving WWE. Toni Storm has been currently signed to AEW. She made her AEW debut in the March of this year on AEW’s Dynamite Edition, wherein she defeated bunny in the Owen hart Foundation women’s Tournament. Storm then went on to reach the semi finals of the tournament where she was defeated by Britt Baker.
Interestingly, Toni Storm had made her WWE debut, also by participating in a tournament called Mae young Classic, back in 2017. Toni was the winner of the 2018 Mae young Classic Tournament. During her time in WWE, Toni Storm performed in the NXT UK Section, wherein she won the NXT UK Championship, which she held for 231 days, she finally lost it to kay lee ray thereby ending her reign.

Toni Storm blames WWE for her decision to Exit the Company.
Toni Storm made progress in the company by debuting on one of their main rosters, Smackdown in July 2021. During her time on the brand, she received her Smackdown Women’s Championship Opportunity against Charlotte flair on the Christmas eve edition of smackdown but ended up on the losing side. Storm didn’t spend much time on the brand and quit the Company in December 2021.
It was reported that Toni storm had requested a release from her WWE Contract, and it was provided to her right away by the company.
“Burnout, essentially” quoted Dave Meltzer as the reason for Toni’s exit from the company.
Toni Storm now has opened up on her exit and how WWE Crushed her Feelings and love for the Sport.
During an interview with Renee Paquette on her show Sessions with Renee Paquette, she spoke about her frustrations with the company and the reason for her voluntary departure.
“It was a complicated ordeal,” Storm continued. “I had built up frustrations with the place for a very long time, like a lot of people do.”
“They don’t give a s–t, so why should I? This isn’t going to work, I know what’s going to happen here, I’m just going to be sent back to catering again. I’m not going to succeed here; I can just see it. I know they see me as I’m such a kid and I’m such a newbie and this that and the other, but I like to think that I’ve been around wrestling long enough to know — I just know what’s right and what’s wrong for me and what I like and what I don’t like, and I just didn’t like it in the end.”
As mentioned earlier, she now currently works with AEW and we hope that she has again found her love and passion for the sport of wrestling.
