WWE recently announced that they have signed a new deal with the NFL that would involve WWE releasing customized new WWE Championship title designs. These designs featured a version for each of the 32 teams that are playing in the NFL this year. Interestingly, it also involves AEW CEO Tony Khan’s team, the Jacksonville Jaguars. Therefore, WWE also released a title for Khan’s Jaguars.
Surprisingly, fans noticed that they could not preorder the Jacksonville Jaguars belt anymore from the WWE Shop. This started speculation among the fans, who thought that WWE did not allow the sale of their rival’s items in their shop. However, Fanatic Support came forward and cleared the air for fans. They tweeted out, saying that the Jacksonville Jaguars belts sold out faster than they ever imagined.
They also advised the fans that they should stick around and keep an eye on the website. They promised to restock the titles in the store as soon as possible. Therefore, it is good news for both WWE and AEW that fans instantly bought the titles that indirectly represented both companies. The Legacy belt costs $549.99 on the official WWE Shop website, and fans could pre-order the title before it sold out.
This would not be the first time WWE and the Jacksonville Jaguars teamed up for some work. A few years before AEW came into existence, Jaguar’s owner, Tony Khan, was featured in one of the promotional videos that WWE produced and released. This was during their visit to Jacksonville, Florida, and Khan came down backstage for a show in WWE, being a lifelong wrestling fan.
