Amidst the chaos of the upcoming Tuesday Night War, Tony Khan has taken a shot at Vince McMahon's black past.

Next week, either Tony Khan will rejoice and tout his clamored success, or else he could have a serious breakdown. For the first time in over a year, AEW Dynamite goes head-to-head with WWE NXT this coming Tuesday night. Earlier today, WWE announced that the first 30 minutes of NXT would be commercial-free. To everyone’s surprise, the AEW President followed it up with the same.
He confirmed that Dynamite will have no commercial interruptions for the initial half hour this week. Reacting to it, a fan on X tried to play smart and replied, “We not watching bucko.” Khan surprisingly got back and posted a GIF, which implied who gives a f**k to what that troll account just said. The conversation just didn’t end there, as the user allegedly said that if Vince McMahon had reacted like Tony Khan, the AEW fans would’ve pounced on him.
As a result, Tony Khan decided to fire the cannons. The AEW CEO hit back savagely at the fan, saying that if McMahon had replicated the act, it would still be the least of all the alleged misdeeds he’s been responsible for. Although it was one heck of a statement from Khan, it might just not be a good look for someone who’s incumbent in such a higher position.
Nevertheless, the timeline is heating up and that’s best for business. Khan hasn’t held himself back while talking trash about McMahon on occasions. It’s not hard to find numerous Vince McMahon references on AEW programming that have been incorporated in some fashion. Vince has multiple allegations leveled against him, and Tony is well aware of that.
Has Tony Khan done enough to pip Shawn Michaels’ NXT?
For all the good measures, Tony Khan would want nothing more than to beat NXT next week. The show falls on his birthday, and WWE has made serious plans to counter Khan’s AEW Dynamite. Shawn Michaels, the SVP and the creative force behind NXT, has already stacked the show with appearances from John Cena, Cody Rhodes, and Paul Heyman.
If that wasn’t enough, The Undertaker is seemingly going to be at NXT as well. On the other hand, AEW Dynamite will feature the in-ring debut of WWE Hall of Famer Edge, a.k.a. Adam Copeland. He’ll take on Luchasaurus in a one-on-one match. To gain some initial momentum, Tony Khan has announced a buy-in match between Eddie Kingston and Minoru Suzuki.
Also, Jon Moxley will take on Rey Fenix for the AEW International Championship. Both companies don’t want to leave any stone unturned as they head towards the pivotal Tuesday Night War.
