“That guy was a HEAT MAGNET” Backstage News on returning superstar’s potential heat with other superstars

The Friday night Smackdown was all heated up as it saw a popular faction returning to the show. The trio known as “The Hitrow” returned to the blue brand to face local talents in a squash match. The trio consisted of Top Dolla, Adonis, and B-Fab as they returned after being released from the company in 2021. The former leader of the group Isaiah Swerve Scott didn’t return as he is now part of WWE’s rival promotion AEW. Top Dolla and Adonis fought in a tag team bout against local talent and squashed them in a short time.
While many people had anticipated the faction’s return it is now being reported that a lot of people backstage are not happy with their return. This is due to the fact that the trio’s member Top Dolla has been described as “a heat magnet” by many people within the company. A report from Wrestling Observer explained that a lot of people were unhappy with how Top Dolla conducted with other superstars backstage.
Top Dolla described as a heat magnet upon his return
Bryan Alvares of Wrestling Observer explained- “This Top Dolla was a heat magnet dude, he was a heat magnet. And the way it was described to me was, he knows the right people to not be a heat magnet with and Triple H was one of them.” According to Alvares, Dolla was nice to Triple H and that’s why he got the push on the main roster. But, when it came to the light that other people had problems with him he got released. Top Dolla was released in November 2021 as a part of budget cuts.
Now less than a year after his release, when Dolla is back on the blue brand it is surely going to increase some heat backstage but it would be interesting to see what plans the company has for the faction ahead. Well, the heat backstage can be potentially used in a storyline to reflect Top Dolla and The Hitrow as a heel, and thus feuds can be built on this basis.
The Hitrow was a top faction in NXT before they were called up to the main roster in 2021 but were shortly released as the company had no potential plans for them. Now it needs to be seen what the company will make of the faction as they have made their return to the company.
