Most of the wrestling fans stopped investing their time in the now-disbanded WWE faction Hit Row once they got on the main roster. Though the group’s decline could be attributed to Swerve Strickland‘s departure, one of the major reasons behind the scorn was Top Dolla. He made himself a laughing stock on national television exactly a year ago. Who could ever forget that botched over-the-top rope dive when Hit Row took on The Viking Raiders and Legado Del Fastasma?

Even though Top Dolla and Ashante “Thee” Adonis won that match, the fans already had enough of the former. However, everything happens for a reason, and Dolla would’ve suffered had he never fumbled that springboard maneuver. Why so? It’s because, after that mishap, he went for a medical checkup and found out that he had been riddled with Type 2 diabetes.

Moreover, his blood sugar reached an atrocious high of 626 mg/dL. In a post on X where he disclosed the aforementioned details, Top Dolla admitted that he almost lost his life and was about to lose both of his feet too. He simply wrote that the botch saved his life.

The botch saved my life. I made that dive a dozen times before, legs felt off but I didn’t think about it. After I failed I went to the doc & found out I had Type II diabetes & my blood sugar was 626. I almost lost my life & was about to lose both feet. The botch saved my life.

Though he couldn’t leave an indelible impact on the WWE Universe through his on-screen acts, Dolla would still be remembered, though for some hilarious reasons.

Another botch on SmackDown has now bailed out Charlotte Flair from WWE

In the above-listed case, Top Dolla botched a move, was laughed at severely, got to know about his real-life struggle, and was diagnosed. Walking through the same door, 14-time Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair too botched a top-rope maneuver on last week’s SmackDown.

She fell off in an ugly manner while trying to outdo Asuka. Instead, The Queen’s foot tripped, and she had a terrible slip. After the match, Flair was in some agony, and it was later discovered that she had suffered a serious knee injury.

As a result, she would be out of in-ring action for nearly 9 months. That would force her to miss WrestleMania 40, the first she’d not be a part of since joining the main roster. She’s expected to undergo surgery through the holiday season.
