Since the genesis of the Women’s Revolution, a bunch of yesteryear female superstars, notably Trish Stratus and Lita, have returned to the squared circle. The former even had a full-fledged program with Becky Lynch. However, there is one superstar of the past decade who has apparently “zero desire” to return to WWE. The name in question is Torrie Wilson.
Speaking on the latest edition of Busted Open via Wrestling Inc., Torrie Wilson opened up about her potential comeback stint with WWE. The 48-year-old flat-out dismissed even the slightest possibility of her ever returning to the company. She further explained her reasons for not following in the footsteps of fellow WWE Hall of Famers Lita and Trish Stratus. The two superstars have worked in several feuds and matches over the past few years.
When Trish came back, I watched a lot of that, and I remember texting her a few times. I was like, 'I don't know how you're doing this. Good for you.' But I have zero desire to go back to that.Torrie Wilson
Shedding light on why she would never consider returning to WWE, Wilson explained, citing Trish Stratus’ comeback. Although Wilson has no desire to come back for a full-fledged singles match, the diva has made sporadic appearances at Royal Rumble in 2018 and 2021.
One of the major reasons why Torrie Wilson is firm in her decision is the physical toll that wrestling takes on an individual’s body. The 48-year-old doesn’t want to return unless she is going with the intent to prove herself as an improved athlete. Furthermore, she expressed her reluctance towards taking risky bumps and going through rigorous training at the WWE Performance Center.
Torrie Wilson believes Victoria’s WWE Hall of Fame induction is long overdue
The diva of the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression era, Torrie Wilson, was officially inducted into WWE’s prestigious Hall of Fame in the year 2019. Despite a stint spanning less than a decade, Wilson made her mark in the Stamford-based promotion. Nonetheless, there is another female superstar whom Wilson wishes to see in the WWE Hall of Fame. The person in question is Victoria.
Speaking in a virtual signing via SEScoops, Wilson named several female superstars who deserve to be inducted into the renowned Hall of Fame. Interestingly, she also name-dropped, Candice Michelle as a deserving candidate along with Victoria.
Victoria for sure. It's way past due. And Candice Michelle. But Victoria for certain. It's way overdue. Melina, yeah. Sable [as well.]Torrie Wilson
Torrie Wilson, Victoria, and Candice Michelle were briefly part of an all-female stable “Vince’s Devils” in the mid-2000s. It is worth noting that the 48-year-old wrestled her last match in WWE against Victoria in 2007. Moreover, Wilson also named Melina and Sable as two other superstars whose induction is long overdue.
