Booker T reveals he approved the controversial WrestleMania 19 angle with Triple H

Although Triple H is now handling business as the CCO of the company, he once was one of the top wrestlers in the company and was involved in many rivalries. One of these storylines included his build-up with WWE Hall of Famer Booker T on the road to WrestleMania 19. However, during the build, many segments and promos were heavily influenced by racial insensitivity.

King Booker revealed that he had no problem with any of the promos in the storyline. While talking with Adrian Hernandez, he discussed the controversial storyline involving him and Hunter. The 59-year-old stated that the angle was related to a real-life background and that he approved of the material. Fans’ hatred for The Game at that time helped build Booker T as a babyface and set up their match at WrestleMania.

The one line people remember the most is when Triple H said 'People like you don't deserve to be here.' That's motivation for all of us to get up off our asses and prove them wrong. It was as real as it could possibly be for me from an emotional perspective and a lot of the stuff that went into the angle, I approved all of it.

They competed against each other at the Show of Shows, and just as the crowd thought Booker would finally dethrone Triple H, the latter easily beat his challenger. To this day, fans regard this storyline as one of the worst in history, as The Game continued his infamous reign of terror
