This week’s SmackDown had a special guest in town. Ryan Blaney, the reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion, journeyed to the blue brand last night. He even had a chat with Triple H, and The Game was honored to have Ryan. On his Instagram account, the WWE CCO posted a video where he could be seen talking to the third-generation racer.
Both exchanged some words and embraced the attention their respective fields have been getting lately. Both WWE and NASCAR have had numerous crossovers in the past. And once again, it’s bound to happen. Next Sunday, WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will serve as the Grand Marshal for the Daytona 500. The announcement was made back on January 29, and a lot has happened ever since.

The Rock is seemingly back for a full-fledged storyline in WWE. And he’s incensed with Triple H based on what went down in Las Vegas last evening. Nonetheless, Ryan Blaney had a blast on SmackDown, as he also sported the World Heavyweight title in one of the clips aired during the show. After greeting the stock car racing driver, Triple H opened the show.
He was set to address the fallout from the WrestleMania XL press conference. The world heard that thumping smack on Cody Rhodes’ face when Dwayne Johnson decided to stamp his authority. Tension was running high as Johnson sided with Roman Reigns.
Backstage, they caught Paul Levesque and issued a stern warning. The Great One asked his former arch-nemesis to fix all the exploits that have made the rounds in the past week or so. Both Reigns and Rock stormed out of the building as two Samoan stalwarts.
The Rock and Roman Reigns could confront Triple H next week
As mentioned above, Triple H kicked off this week’s SmackDown, and he had some explaining to do. Without even naming The Rock, he fired flagrant shots at The People’s Champ. Hunter iterated that some people tried to exercise their powers at the presser even when they didn’t have any.

Further, the WWE HOF’er confirmed that Roman Reigns will indeed defend his title against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. Triple H admitted that his decision might’ve disgruntled some people, alluding to The Rock and Roman Reigns.
However, the very next line he uttered was a straight jab at the Black Adam star. The Cerebral Assassin said it doesn’t matter what he thinks in regards to Dwayne’s exasperation towards the scheduled main event of WrestleMania.
Next week, as Paul Heyman revealed, both The Rock and Roman Reigns will be there on SmackDown. With that being said, Triple H might need to be on his toes after he conspicuously trash-talked about the Hollywood star.
