“It’s all ENTERTAINMENT” Triple H points out what he would like to change in MMA and Boxing

MMA, Boxing and Pro-Wrestling are closely related as all of them are a part of combat sports. While every sport is on the track of commercialisation today and is moving towards the category being a sports entertainment programme , MMA and Boxing have somehow kept their spirit alive.
While independent leagues and promotions have been established for both the sports, they’re still far away from the segment that has been termed as sports entertainment. The biggest sports entertainment company around the world, WWE has become a global juggernaut by its business models as it has been a pioneer in combining two diverse domains to create a unique product that is loved by millions around the world.
Triple H says he’ll add some “show” to MMA and Boxing if he gets a chance
Vince McMahon envisioned his product more on the entertainment side rather than focusing on it as a sports programme. He himself once referred to his talent as trained athletes who entertain people rather than them being a legitimate sportsperson.
Vince McMahon ran the company for a long time before the recent power shift when McMahon stepped down from the company in all capacities and handed over the torch to her daughter Stephanie McMahon and important responsibilities of Creative Head and Chief Content Officer were handed over to his son-in-law Triple H.
The Game has been adding his own flavour to the dish Vince had mastered preparing over the years. With him in charge the atmosphere has been ecstatic and optimistic. He was recently asked about what potentially could be changed in MMA and Boxing promotions so that they can grow on a bigger level.
The question was levelled up to The Creative Head in the recent Crown Jewel press conference. Triple H while answering the question said- “That’s not up to me to decide, but if I was to do it, put more show into it.” He said that he is a big fan of MMA and Boxing but if he presented it he would spice it up with more entertainment.
Though he quickly pointed out that it doesn’t necessarily mean he is right and everyone has a style of presenting their product and it’s his style to add showbiz to his product which might not suit other products.
But, he quickly pointed out how everything in the world has now shifted its focus towards providing entertainment. Emphasizing the fact, Triple H said- “I’ll tell you right now, everything is entertainment, no matter what. Doesn’t matter if it’s the news, doesn’t matter if it’s movies, television, doesn’t matter what sport, it’s all entertainment,”
